Course Description MCAST is offering a traineeship programme for students who achieve all the required vocational learning outcomes during the two year Pathway

Certificate course.

This course facilitates the transition into the labour market and gives participants the opportunity to acquire competencies through direct

investment and training by local companies. Participants following this traineeship will be contracted to work for four days a week in the industry and one day a week of study on campus. The types of industries follow

three vocational areas namely Hospitality Studies, Office Skills and also Production and Retail Work.

Study/Course Delivery This programme of vocational learning leads to the achievement of an employable status.

 

During the time when student is on campus, the study units covered would lead to the achievement of key competencies. The emphasis is on the teaching methodology where embedding has been selected as the main pedagogical model. Vocational Units are used as a vehicle for achieving the objective.

 

The learning process is completed by providing learners with feedback that is formative in nature both during working hours and during class-based learning.
